Craft powerful gear for yourself and your familiars to enhance your adventures. The 
Alshanex's Familiars mod introduces specialized armor pieces that can be crafted using a smithing transform. This guide details how to create these items.
Familiologist Armor
The Familiologist armor set consists of four distinct pieces: 
Familiologist Boots, 
Familiologist Chestplate, 
Familiologist Helmet, and 
Familiologist Leggings. Each piece is crafted through a specific smithing transform recipe.
Familiologist Boots
To craft Familiologist Boots, you will need the following ingredients:
Crystal Berry- wizard_boots
- arcane_essence
Combine these three items using a smithing transform to create the Familiologist Boots.
Familiologist Chestplate
To craft a Familiologist Chestplate, you will need the following ingredients:
- Crystal Berry
- wizard_chestplate
- arcane_essence

Understanding the Smithing Transform
The smithing transform is a crafting mechanic used for these recipes. There are four distinct smithing transform recipes within Alshanex's Familiars, each corresponding to one of the Familiologist armor pieces. All recipes follow a similar pattern, requiring a Crystal Berry, a piece of wizard armor (boots, chestplate, helmet, or leggings), and arcane_essence to produce the upgraded Familiologist equivalent.
Arcane Essence is also used to tame familiars, which are new mobs found throughout the world. Tamed familiars follow you and fight alongside you using spells.
