Exploring Dungeons and Taverns Overworld Structures
This guide details various overworld structures that generate in your world, including outposts, bunkers, and crypts. These structures are designed to blend seamlessly with the game's existing environment.
Structure Generation
Structures appear in specific biomes and follow rules for how often they attempt to generate within a given area.
Badlands Miner Outpost
This structure generates in badlands biomes. The game attempts to place one Badlands Miner Outpost within every 60x60 chunk region, ensuring each instance is at least 12 chunks apart from another.
Bunker
Bunkers generate in land biomes. One Bunker is attempted per 50x50 chunk region, with a minimum distance of 10 chunks between them.
Conduit Ruin
Conduit Ruins are found in ocean biomes. These structures are less common, with one attempt per 140x140 chunk region, and a significant minimum separation of 90 chunks. When a Conduit Ruin generates, it overrides the default spawning behavior for monsters in its vicinity.
Creeping Crypt
Creeping Crypts generate in taiga biomes. The game attempts to place one crypt per 100x100 chunk region, maintaining at least 10 chunks between each.
Deepslate Camp
Deepslate Camps generate in biomes related to strongholds and ruins. These are more frequently encountered, with one attempt per 15x15 chunk region, and a minimum spacing of 7 chunks.
Desert Ruins
Desert Ruins appear in desert biomes. One ruin is attempted per 80x80 chunk region, with a minimum distance of 12 chunks between instances.
Finding Structures
If you are having difficulty locating these dungeons, you can use the `/locate structure nova_structures:` command. After typing the colon, a list of available structure names should appear for autofill, allowing you to specify the structure you wish to find.
